Our Mission: The Pacific Coptic Soccer League is formed to foster a high caliber of play as well as exhibit a strong Christian witness including fair play, healthy competition, and sportsmanship. We, as active members of the One Body of Christ, have come together for the purpose of forming a communal soccer league. Our aim is to play soccer in a manner that glorifies God. The concept of winning in this league is radically different from other leagues. The final score does not determine winning. Winning is determined by the extent to which you exhibit Christian behavior in every game with your brothers in Christ. The primary focus is to foster Christian fellowship amongst all participants. Secondarily, do your VERY BEST to win the soccer game.
General Info:
- $60 for new players (uniform included) or $40 to existing players to your church league representative by Jul. 10th, 2011 for ALL players.
- Registration form MUST be completed and submitted by the deadline date or you will not be eligible to play. Deadline is strictly enforced!
- Age Limit: Please note changes – Players should not be YOUNGER than 16 years old or OLDER than 50 years old.
- Season: August – September
Rules: PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU REGISTER – if any of the following does not apply to you please DO NOT REGISTER and speak with your team rep. All players must fill and carefully read the registration form within the registration deadlines.
- All players must be baptized Christian Coptic Orthodox or baptized within sister Orthodox churches.
- All players must be within the age limit ranging between ages 16 to 50. A few months below the age limit could be overlooked in case the player is turning 16 within the same year.
- Each registered player should provide a physical signature from the church’s priest.
- Each team can register a maximum of 16 players.
- It’s the team rep responsibility to make sure registration rules are applied, any players participating illegally will result that all games in which the player has participated in to be counted as forfeit.
